At last, the all new Range Rover is revealed, with no camo-tape! The new Rangie is 420kg lighter, more eco-friendly, and even more opulent than the outstandingly successful current car. Although the profile looks similar, there's actually been much tweaking of the proportion of metal to glasshouse. Also, you'll spot lots of detail changes to the new Range Rover to set it apart from the current car.

We’re still waiting for Toyota to make a more powerful version of the GT86 (and Subaru the BRZ), but we are starting to get more focused versions. We’ve already seen the GT86 TRD – developed by Toyota Racing development – as a road car limited edition, and last month we learnt that Toyota were going to debut a track version – the GT86 TRD Griffon – and that it would arrive at Goodwood. Now the Griffon has arrived looking immensely purposeful with its wings and diffuser and carbon fibre for the roof, doors, bonnet and boot and some severe fettling of the oily stuff with upgraded brakes, new alloys, mechanical limited slip diff and stiffer suspension.

The new Mazda3 arrived in the summer, but only now has Mazda got round to revealing prices as the new 3 goes on sale in the UK as a Hatchback or Fastback. The new Mazda3 has grwon in size, gets better looking, offers Mazda’s SKYACTIV-G and SKYACTIV-D engines and looks set to offer even more competition for the VW Golf and Ford Focus. Mazda has managed to stretch the Mazda3 range to a total of 36 models – 21 hatchbacks and 15 Fastbacks – with a choice of three petrol engines - the new 1.5-litre with 110PS and two versions of the 2.0 litre with 120PS or 165PS – and the 2.2 litre 150PS SKYACTIV-D diesel.
